Hello all! I’m a bit pressed for time today so let’s get straight to the news and notes for the day…
Vulcan Golf will introduce a very interesting driver at the Orlando PGA Show next week. The new V14 driver features Variable Mass Technology… a new spin on movable weight. This one might be a bit hard to explain but here goes… the driver has two weight chambers (tuning channels) along the back of the club. These chambers hold small bearings and the driver comes with 28 of these bearings. There are two different bearings… a 2 gram stainless steel version and a almost weightless nylon version. Golfers can load the two chambers with different combinations of bearings to change how the club works. The V14 comes with a UST V2 shaft and a full Money Back Performance Guarantee. I had a really brief chat with my Callaway rep today and I asked him about the some of the new clubs we should see soon. The new Big Bertha irons have already been released (we’ve already sold a few sets… the lower price has been a big hit with customers so far). The X Series woods and Fusion FT hybrid should be available in March, the X-Tour wedges in April and the wider soled Fusion irons in May. Also watch for a few new golf balls in March too… a new HX Tour, a new HX Tour 56 and the new HX Pearl (a low compression ball). Looks like another solid line up for Callaway!
The guys over at Golfwrx have a picture of Ian Poulter with his new Cobra staff bag. This is the first picture I’ve seen of him with the new clubs. He also now has Cobra/Titleist/Vokey/Footjoy on his official website now too. I can’t wait to get some good pictures of what he’s got in his bag!
