Hello everyone. Sorry for not posting much over the past few days but I was at a wedding and got home very late last night. Cool wedding though… both the bride and groom are huge golfers and they added some some golf touches here and there. Both of them wore golf shoes down the aisle, they had a putting game at the reception and even had the line “In Good Golf and Poor Golf” written into the vows. Congrats to them and thanks for the great weekend! Let’s get to some golf news. I’ve seen a few new products over the past few days and want to mention them…

We’ve been talking a bit about the new MacGregor line and it looks like we’ll see all of the new stuff at the Orlando PGA Show in January. We’re working on getting some more specifics but I can tell you that we will see a new MACTEC driver (which I’ve heard is really good), a MACTEC Tour driver, the UT hybrid, and a few new irons. The company has already released three new Bobby Grace putters… the Fat Lady Swings, GT Mini and the limited edition Tour Prototype (one of the nicest putters I’ve seen in a long time). We’ll keep digging and get some more info for you.

The Cobra Baffler family is getting a bit bigger. Cobra Golf is adding three new models to it’s hybrid line. Watch for a men’s 1/R (16 degree) and 6/R (32 degree), along with a lady’s 7/R (35 degree). The Cobra Baffler line was fairly popular this year and these additions give golfers more choices. Callaway recently added to their Heavenwood line and I expect other companies to follow. These new Bafflers are available now so watch for them in stores very soon.

Speaking of hybrids… I had a chance to see some info on the new Nickent 3DX DC hybrid. The 3DX DC was the #1 hybrid club at the PGA’s Southern Farm Bureau Classic and the Nickent hybrid clubs have developed a real following at both the Tour and retail level. The DC looks like it is a slightly modified version of the current 3DX club… featuring more heel-toe weighting and a hotter face. Looks like Nickent could have another winner here. We’ll keep you updated.

The new low price on the TaylorMade R7 has people around my shop buzzing. TaylorMade timed this one perfect and it should be a hot item at Christmas… especially at this new price. It’s been a bit tricky to sell the R5 now that people can get the R7 for such a low price. I’ve had a lot of people asking if the free airline ticket promo will be available with the new R7 425 that is set to be released in early December and the answer is no.

That’s all for now… just a few quick odds and ends. It’s really slow right now and there isn’t much going on. Thanks for all the email and support. Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow!
