I watch a good chunk of MLB due to my hometown team, but I was wondering. What year did the new(modern) era of the mlb start? In the premier league, the new era began in 1992, and leagues such as the nhl and nba started around their too. So is that when baseball reached the modern years, or when we talk about records do we go all the way back to the 1800s?(kind of a tricky question I can explain more in replies)
