Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. We've got some details on new TaylorMade golf clubs and rumors of the next Titleist driver.
Tgw.com has details of upcoming TaylorMade products… the Tour Burner driver, Tour Burner TP driver, Z TP wedges, Tour Burner irons and r7 CGB MAX Rescue hybrid. The Tour Burner driver seems to be getting most of the buzz. The 450CC club features Inverted Cone technology, a Fujikura RE*AX shaft and an eye-catching black finish. Watch for the Tour Burner in April.
Speaking of drivers… there is already talk of a new Titleist driver. The company usually releases golf clubs in March/April but many rumors call for a new Titleist driver by the fall. The company has used the fall to launch clubs in the past so it's not totally unrealistic. If this were to happen, the company would need to have a prototype out on Tour right away. Titleist prototypes are a bit tricky… the company usually offers their Tour staff a few different versions of their current drivers… most of which never get released. As for a name… one would assume that "909" would be up to bat… following 905 and 907. Some rumors call for two different versions of the club featuring two different head sizes.
That's all for tonight… talk to you tomorrow!
