Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by. Tis the season for giving gifts and we get lots of email asking for ideas for the golfer. Golf clubs are often not an option… they're fairly expensive and can be very personal. Gift cards for golf stores are always an option but some shoppers want to give something a bit different. Here are some gift ideas that we hear a lot about…

Range Finders/GPS Units – These are becoming very popular and offer golfers additional help out on the course. There are lots of different options out there but we've narrowed it down a bit for you. Bushnell have the rangefinder market locked up and their products are great. Check out the Bushnell Golf website for more details. GPS units also make great gifts. These are small enough that golfers can carry them around and powerful enough to give players any yardage required. Check out those made by iGolf and SkyCaddie

XM Satellite Radio – Satellite radio has really taken off this year and XM is the place to find the PGA Tour. Golf on the radio doesn't sound all that exciting but a lot of people need their fix 24/7. Check out the XM Radio website for more details.

Sun Mountain Speed Carts – These have been favorites for a few years. Far and away the best golf carts on the market. Any player that wants to walk should have a look at one of these. The Sun Mountain website has more details.

Rocket Tour Headcovers – Knit headcovers have come full circle. I remember a time when you couldn't give these things away… and now they're one of the hottest items out there. Rocket Tour offers a ton of color combinations (including a couple of different blue and yellow ones for all of us Chargers fans). A very cool gift idea for the golfer.

Wedges and Putters – Really advanced golfers can get very picky when it comes to wedges and putters. Have a beginner looking to round out their set on your list? Swing by G.R.I.P. Golf and pick up a couple of clubs. Check out the "Specials" section for multi-club packages at great prices.

There you are… a few gift ideas for your favorite golfer. Found other good gifts? Drop us an email and we'll pass them along to everyone. Congrats to the Chargers on their big win today! Talk to you later…
