Odds And Ends From The Golf World

Sorry about the lack of a Tuesday post… I’m in the middle of selling my condo and it’s been a bit nuts around here! We’ve rounded up some odds and ends for you tonight so let’s get to it!

We’ve been talking about our customer’s first impressions of some of the new equipment. Our shop finally got some of the Ping Rapture hybrids the other day and initial impression has been very positive. People really like the way this club looks from above. It’s a bit bigger than the G5 but it’s easier to hit and more fogiving. It’s also noticeably longer than the G5… I’ve had numerous customers say that it adds 5-10 more yards. One knock on it so far is the lack of options… the club is only available in 3 lofts. One would assume there are a few more in the works.

We’ve talked about some of the new products from Adams Golf and now the company has officially released their Idea Pro Forged Hybrid irons. This looks to be a great option for the better player. It’s not everyday that you see a combo set like this for the better player… many companies lack a “players” hybrid. The set is made up of 2 hybrids and 6 forged cavity backed irons… all designed for the player that wants a more “traditional combo set”. Head over to the Adams Golf website for more details!

And a quick “Deal Alert” before I head off to bed. Rock Bottom Golf has Callaway Big Bertha 3.8 Ultra Light carry bags for just $69.99. This bag did really well at my shop this year and it’s a steal at that price! If you’re in need of a carry bag (or even a second bag) this one is worth a look. Talk to you tomorrow!
