Hi everyone. Tour Edge is set to release 2 new Exotics drivers on December 5th. The Exotics XCG and XLD are designed for 2 different types of players and both feature some very interesting technology.
First up… the Exotics XCG driver. This 3-piece driver features a magnesium crown and a titanium cup face. The idea of a magnesium crown is what makes this driver so interesting. Tour Edge says this crown is lighter than both titanium and carbon… allowing more weight to be distributed lower in the body and sole. The company also says this new crown material helps with feedback and feel. The XCG will be available in 3 lofts… 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees and 12 degrees.
The second driver is a high MOI model called the XLD. This club features a thin titanium crown, a variable thickness face and an overall club weight of 295 grams… making it one of the lightest drivers on the market. The most obvious feature of the XLD is it's unique pentagon shape. This shape helps move weight further back in the head which increases MOI. The XLD will be available in 4 lofts… 9 degrees, 10.5 degrees, 12 degrees and 15 degrees.
