Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of a Monday post. We had a few website issues that have since been straightened out. SirPutts and I have teamed up and have rounded up some odds and ends for you tonight.

Last weekend was another good one for Nike Golf. Between Tiger Woods, Stewart Cink, and Paul Casey the Swoosh got a lot of airtime. Some of you may have noticed Paul Casey using a prototype for the new Nike Unitized putter line. We will start seeing these in stores in November. Nike Golf was met with a lot of skepticism when their first club lines were launched but they have proved their doubters wrong. Nike is now an industry leader in the golf club business and can claim the winningest driver and irons in 2006.

The hot new Grafalloy ProLaunch Red continued its impressive run with victories on the Nationwide and Champions tours. The ProLaunch Red is constructed using the same technology as the popular ProLaunch shaft but features a shaft profile similar to the Prolite 35.

We had a question the other day asking about a Diamana staff bag that has been spotted from time to time on the net. The blue and white staff bag looks great and our reader wants to know if something like this will ever come to retail. The folks at Mitsubishi have told us that we should see this bag next year but probably not until the fall.

A lot of the new equipment is slowly starting to make it’s way into our shop and there is one club that has really impressed me. The TaylorMade R7 Draw driver has done really well and mid to high handicappers are just loving it! This thing is really hard to slice and it hits the ball pretty high. Many customers that I’ve talked to say it is a lot like a longer and harder to slice R5 Type D. Watch for TaylorMade to continue with the “Draw” trend… a full line featuring irons, fairway woods and hybrids is expected in 2007. We haven’t had the new Titleist products come in yet but I’ve had a few people asking about them… I think these will be a huge hit when they arrive.

That’s all for tonight… thanks for all of the email. Feel free to drop us a line with any questions you’ve got and we will do our best to answer them! Talk to you tomorrow!
