Odyssey Adds New XG Models

Good evening and thanks for stopping by. We’ve got some news from Odyssey Golf so let’s get right to it!

Looks like Odyssey is expanding their popular White Hot XG line of putters. The biggest addition will be the XG #9… the putter that Callaway staffer Phil Mickelson has been using ever since his win at the BellSouth Classic in April. This putter will be available in both right and left handed.

We’ll also see two new center shafted models… the XG #5 CS (the center shafted version of the current #5) and the #8 CS. Center shafted putters have really become popular in recent years so these aren’t a huge surprise.

The other new model will be a 2 Ball XG… basically the standard 2 Ball featuring XG technology. Also watch for a left handed version of the current #7. Be sure to head over to the Odyssey Golf website for more details and an explanation of the company’s XG technology.

We don’t have a concrete release date on these yet but watch for an announcement in the next few days. We’ll be sure to pass along a release date when we get it. Otherwise the Callaway/Odyssey front has been pretty quiet. There have been all sorts of rumors surrounding new irons and new drivers but there is nothing to report yet. We’ll keep you updated!
