New Golf Equipment On The Horizon

Hey everyone! We’re just a few hours away from the start of the Open Championship and I thought it would be a good time to look ahead at some of the new clubs we know are coming in the next few months. This will be review for a lot of our readers but we get lots of email asking about certain clubs and when they may be coming out.

Titleist Golf – Should introduce the 906 fairway wood, the 585h hybrid and the 755 irons at the end of August. We should also see the new Scotty Cameron Detour (the Xperimental) next month too. Our Titleist guy is away at meetings right now so expect to hear something official in the next 2 weeks.

TaylorMade Golf – We’ve talked a lot about the R7 Draw driver… it will be officially released on August 18th. Watch for matching R7 Draw irons, hybrids and fairway woods before the end of the year. The R7 460TP driver started shipping July 15th too.

Adams Golf – Adams will be making a real splash in the “players” category before the end of the year. Exact details and release dates are still a bit up in the air but expect to see an Idea Pro hybrid and an Idea Pro forged iron before the end of the year.

Innovex Golf – We were lucky enough to obtain some pictures of the new Innovex prototypes last week… check out our July 12th post for more details. The Innovex Type-S iron and Type-S hybrid should be ready for Christmas. The current fairway wood and driver will stay put for now. We’ll have some more pictures in the coming weeks!

Ping Golf – The new Ping products have been the talk of the net and the guys over at Golfwrx have some great pictures to check out. There isn’t a ton known about the Rapture driver and irons (along with the S58 irons and wedges) but most expect to hear more about them towards the end of August. It’s been a while since Ping products have created such a buzz!

Cleveland Golf – The obvious one here is the new HiBore fairway wood… a club that we’ll see August 1st. Watch for a Never Compromise Exchange putter (in both a mallet and blade head) in the coming months too. We’ve heard rumors of a HiBore hybrid as well.

Bridgestone Golf – The new GC (Gravity Chamber) irons will be available in the middle of September. Two different models here… GC.Mid and GC.OS. Both irons feature weight that has been moved away from the center of the face (that’s the Gravity Chamber) and it has been moved to the heel and the toe.

Callaway Golf – Nothing too official right now. It’s not a real secret that they’ve been testing a few different forged irons and a “squarish” looking driver but that’s about it right now. We’ll keep you updated!

Cobra Golf – Nothing to report from them although their recent price drops lead us to believe that there will be new irons (and maybe a new hybrid) before Christmas. You would imagine that their woods are staying put for now.

I’m sure it will be a fun next couple of months. I’m off to bed… the Open starts in a few hours!! Talk to you tomorrow!
