Hello and thanks for dropping by! A few odds and ends for you tonight so let’s get to it! We talked a bit about the new TaylorMade driver yesterday and we’ve had a few emails about it.
The TaylorMade R7 Draw will feature a 55 gram Mitsubishi shaft… not the Fujikura shaft found in other R7 drivers. This shaft is designed to help the golfer draw. All signs point to more TaylorMade R7 Draw products (irons, hybrids and fairway woods) coming later this year. We’ll keep you updated… expect more information later in the week.
Congrats to John Senden and Dunning Golf for their PGA victory over the weekend. SirPutts and I are huge fans of Dunning apparel and it’s nice to see the company’s staff players doing well. Watch for Senden and fellow Dunning staff member Zach Johnson to debut the company’s fall collection at the Open Championship this week. We’ll see the collection in stores starting August 15th. Bag Boy is jumping into the motorized pushcart market with the introduction of the Navigator cart. The Navigator will be in stores very soon (if not now) and features a full aluminum frame. The cart comes complete with a remote and twin motors that help keep it straight at all times. Check out the Bag Boy website for more details.
SirPutts will be around tomorrow with his Open Championship picks and I thought I’d end today’s post with mine. No shocker… I’m picking my guy Darren Clarke… and plan on picking him until he wins! My underdog will be Paul Casey… he’s played great this year but I wonder if he’s got what it takes to close the deal in a Major on Sunday. We’ll have to wait and see.
