Hope everyone had a great weekend! I was over at Golfwrx the other day and noticed that the guys had posted some information on new products from Cleveland Golf. I’d heard rumors of a Cleveland HiBore fairway wood and it was nice that the guys at Golfwrx were able to finally get some solid information on them. I thought we’d throw up some extra information on them as a supplement to what the Golfwrx guys have already reported.
– The HiBore fairway woods will feature the same Distance Driven Geometry as the HiBore driver… which means they will feature the same inverted crown.
– They will also feature a Carpenter 455 steel face plate (similar to that found in the current Cleveland Launcher Steel fairway). Carpenter steel seems to be a popular choice in the fairway wood department right now.
– The center of gravity will be low thanks in part to an extremely thin crown (0.6mm to be extact). Cleveland calls the head design of this new club a “mid-low” profile.
– Other bits of info… the information we gathered (minus pictures) calls for the new fairway woods to have a satin crown finish and a 0.350″ hosel.
We’ll pass along more information as we get it and we hope to have some more information on the HiBore hybrid and the Never Compromise Exchange putter soon.
