It’s about that time of year when the buzz starts to pick up for new Titleist prototypes. The two most hyped clubs right now are the Titleist 906 F2 & F3 fairway woods and the Titleist 755 irons. Jay Haas just won his first major on the Champions Tour using the 755 irons, a new forged cavity back club. These irons have also been in the bag of Arron Oberholser, Brad Faxon and several other notable Titleist staffers. Different versions of the 906 have been in put into play by Adam Scott, Davis Love III, Arron Oberholser and others. Head over to the Titleist website and go to the players section to see some pictures of these.
Graphite Design International, one of the leading graphite shaft manufacturers on the PGA Tour is releasing their newest shaft design called the Pershing. This shaft has been in play for several months now and you can catch a glimpse of it on the Graphite Design website. Graphite Design makes some great shafts and consistently rank at the top of the driver and fairway wood shaft count on tour.
Adams Golf once again led the hybrid count on the Champions Tour this past weekend. Almost half of all hybrids in play were the Idea a2. This club continues to impress and sales of the Idea a2 hybrid and iron sets have been really strong in 2006.
