Hey everyone. Hope you all had a chance to check out some of the golf over the weekend. Congrats to Lefty on his big win and congrats to Callaway Golf for helping him out! I’ve got a few Masters odds and ends and a few other notes so let’s get to it!

We might as well start with the Masters and the equipment that Phil Mickelson trusted in his win. Phil used two Callaway Fusion FT-3 drivers (one fade biased and one draw biased… both shafted with Mitsubishi Diamana shafts) a X 5 wood, X-Tour irons, a HX Tour golf ball and an Odyssey White Hot XG putter.

Nike Golf won the iron count at the Masters for a second year in a row… 15 players used Nike irons and the company also had three golfers in the top 10. The irons used were a combination of Nike blades, Pro Combo OS, Pro Combo Tour and the NDS.

The Miura Golf website finally has pictures and information on the new Miura CB 301 iron. We’ve talked a lot about this iron and it’s nice to finally see some more pictures and specs. Miura makes high end forged clubs… both under their own name and also for some of the larger club manufacturers. You won’t see Miura in most golf shops but their website has a list of authorized dealers.

And finally… we don’t normally talk about our personal lives on here but it should be noted that someone got married over the weekend! Congrats to SirPutts and his lovely wife… hope you have a great time on your honeymoon. The wedding was a lot of fun and I think everyone had a great time. A special thanks to SirPuttsAlot’s dad… who found space in his speech to plug the website… funny stuff!

Just a few odds and ends for now. I’ve got a few things I could post this afternoon so you’ll just have to wait and see what pops up. I’ll give you a hint though… it’s either going to be a shaft profile or our first golf club review for 2006! Talk to you later!
