Let me first apologize for the lack of posts over the past few days… I’ve been pretty sick and have been trying to get lots of rest. I’m feeling a bit better so it’s time to get back at it. Not a whole lot going on right now but the Thanksgiving week is always pretty slow.

I got an email from the boys over at Golfwrx and they have teamed up with Golf World Magazine to offer a reduced entry fee to the Golf World Scottsdale Invitational. This looks like a pretty cool event… it gives amateur golfers the chance to play in a big time tournament at some pretty big time golf courses. Everything should be pretty first class, there are various flights for all skill levels and it’s a great chance to meet other golfers and even some of the Golf World staff. Head over to Golfwrx for more details!

KZG’s new “U” Series Utility woods are scheduled to hit the market in early 2006. We get lots of email concerning KZG and we are going to make a good effort to get more news from them. They make some great stuff and these new “U” Series clubs look great. I really like that KZG has designed these to be fully customizable… they can be adjusted for lie angle and are designed to fit snugly into a lie/loft machine. It makes sense to have a lie option on a hybrid… golfers can add a hybrid or two and get them to match their iron specs. The “U” Series clubs feature a clean design and come in numerous loft options. Check out the KZG Golf website for more details.

I’m starting to see some Christmas shoppers in my shop and there are a few items that have the early lead in the 2005 Hottest Christmas Gift For The Golfer race…

Sun Mountain Speed Carts – These things are awesome. They are really easy to push and fold up really well too. Sure they are a bit more expensive than your normal pull cart but they are worth the extra money. The Speed E Cart is getting some looks too but it’s much more expensive.

GOLO Dice Game – I didn’t think these would be really popular again but people seem to really like them. It’s basically the golf version of Yahtzee and is lots of fun. A great game to play when you work at a golf shop and the boss leaves early… oops… I didn’t say that!

Ogio Grom Golf Bags – One of the best golf bags on the market. It’s just a great carry bag at a great price. Ogio bags are built like tanks too… they don’t come back for warranty work!

Colored Golf Balls – I think every lady on the face of the earth is getting colored golf balls for Christmas. Every company seems to have them now but the Volvik Crystal balls seem to be the most popular.

Tabasco Golf Shirts – These are pretty interesting and most of the designs are really unique. They’re not for everyone but if you have a hard to buy for golfer on your list… have a look at these. I have a few of the “plain” ones and they are really nice shirts.

TaylorMade R7 Drivers – I think the R7 is something that many golfers put on their list but really don’t expect to see it under the tree. The R7 has been the most asked about club so far and sales have been really good. The new lower price helps too!

Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls – Not a huge surprise here. The most popular ball for the past few years is selling really, really well. You can get them personalized for nothing too.

I’ll keep you updated as we get closer to Christmas. Remember that we’re helping out the “pictures on golf ball guys” with their Christmas orders. Check out GraphicsForeBalls.com for more details. Thanks for all the email, congrats to my San Diego Chargers on their big win and we’ll talk to you real soon!
