Titleist has confirmed that the 905R will be hitting stores in 2006. We have no official date yet but you can probably expect to see this driver some time in March. The 905R is basically a bigger version of the 905T driver currently on the market.

It also appears that the Titleist 695 forged musclebacks will be a spring 2006 release. This will be the latest addition to the 600 series of forged players clubs. With these two launches and the 735 irons Titleist looks like they could have a strong year in 2006.

In other Acushnet news rumors are flying that John Daly could become the newest player to endorse Cobra Golf. Cobra made it known earlier in the year that they would be looking for more tour representation in 2006. The have also said that they are looking for “characters” to join David Feherty in representing the brand.

Odyssey has announced some new putters for 2006. The new Dual Force 2 putters are now up on the website www.odysseygolf.com. We initially reported on these after the Las Vegas PGA Show. The Dual Force 2 is going to be a replacement for the DFX line of putters but will come in at a lower price point. They are going to have the familiar black stronomic insert, this insert is firmer than what is in the White Hot line. The putter will be available in 7 different right-handed models and 2 different left-handed models.

Odyssey has also announced 6 new models in the White Steel family. Included in these 6 are the new White Steel 2-Ball Blade 2, a centre shafted Rossie model, and some more traditional blade putters.

Finally, Winn Inc. has announced some new grips for 2006. The A1 series of grips uses some innovative new materials to increase tackiness in certain places. They have some pretty wild colors available too. Check out www.winngrips.com for more.
