Nike has announced that their newest offering in the iron department, the Nike Slingshot OSS will be available November 1st. The Slingshot OSS will feature the same “sling back” design as the original Slingshots but will have an even higher MOI and a lower, deeper center of gravity. Nike Golf is saying that these will be the most forgiving irons on the market.
The irons will be available in the same Speed Step steel shaft by True Temper or a new iDiamana graphite shaft from Mitsubishi. Both shafts have soft tip sections to get the ball high in the air.
The Slingshot OSS will also have the same wide, constant width sole to prevent digging in the turf and the “sling back” is moved even further out to increase the moment of inertia in the clubs.
