Hey everyone… thanks for stopping by. I had a chat with my TaylorMade rep today. He just returned from sales meetings and was able to give me a bit more info on what is to come from TaylorMade Golf.

There have been lots of rumors about a new R7 driver and it looks like there will actually be two new R7’s in the not too distant future. Watch for both a 425CC and 460CC R7 driver in the spring. There is a good chance that at least one of them will make it’s debut at the Orlando PGA Show in January and both should be available once the golf season gets going next spring.

He also mentioned that there is a stainless steel fairway wood with movable weight technology coming. He called it the R7 stainless fairway… not the V-Steel II. I’m really curious to learn more about this and I’ll try to get a hold of my rep tomorrow. If not… we’ll be down at TaylorMade next week and I’ll ask then.

He said that the current V-Steel fairway woods will remain in the line and will stay at their current low prices. This is an awesome fairway wood at an awesome price. Keeping it around at a low price like this could cause some big problems for other companies.

There is also a new TP iron that is out on Tour… Retief Goosen is hitting them right now. There are some pictures of it floating around on the net… I think Golfwrx has some. No word on if these will ever make it to stores but I don’t know if I’d be holding my breath! We will see the RAC Black TP wedge with Y-cutter grooves in October though.

I’m sure that there will be more TaylorMade news in the next few weeks and we’ll be sure to pass it along as we get it. Just a reminder… SirPuttsAlot and myself will be in Las Vegas and Carlsbad in the next week. We’ll be visiting TaylorMade Golf on Monday, Callaway Golf on Tuesday and the PGA Fall Expo on Wednesday. Watch for posts from our trip… the laptop is coming with us and we’ll keep everyone updated!
