Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by. It’s the start of silly season in the golf business… the time where we start hearing about new equipment and new promotions. We mentioned some of the new TaylorMade clubs the other day and now we’ve got a TaylorMade promotion for you…
TaylorMade has teamed up with Fly Free America to create a very cool promotion. Buy a new TaylorMade driver (R7 Quad, R7 Quad HT, R7 Quad TP or a R5 Dual driver (excluding the R5 TP) and you’ll recieve 2 free round trip arline tickets. The tickets are valid for over 30 different destinations but are only valid if you book through the folks at Fly Free America. Too good to be true? Not really. The tickets do require a minimum stay at a selected hotel/condo but the accommodation prices are reasonable. The promotion is open to all residents of the United States and Canada and it looks like there are only a certain number of tickets available. So go buy a driver right now… get the tickets… then come down and visit us in Vegas right now! Drinks on SirPutts! Check out the TaylorMade website for more details!
Speaking of TaylorMade Golf… the company has announced that they have signed LPGA young gun Paula Creamer to an endorsement deal. It won’t be a huge switch for Paula… she has been using TaylorMade and Adidas for a while now. This is a huge signing for TaylorMade… Creamer could be face of the LPGA Tour for a long time to come.
We have been getting a few emails about the new TaylorMade products and I thought I would take time to answer some of the most asked questions. The new drivers will not feature the R9 name… they will remain as R7’s but with the number of CC’s in the name. There should also be a new iron replacing the current CGB iron… I’ll try to find out more there. I’m not 100% certain what shafts will be in the new drivers but I have heard that Fujikura is doing the TP shaft. Keep the TaylorMade and Callaway questions coming in… we’ll be visiting both companies next week and will gladly ask for you!
That’s all for today… I’m off to enjoy the Las Vegas sunshine and I might even have a drink or two. There is a 100 oz. margarita that has caught my eye and I might have to tackle that one this afternoon. Have a great day!
