Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by! Just a few quick notes tonight… it’s been a long day and my bed is looking very inviting right now…
TaylorMade Golf has extended their contract with Retief Goosen through 2009. This was really a no brainer if you ask me… Goosen is one of the premier players on the planet. Goosen will continue to play TaylorMade clubs, carry a TaylorMade bag, wear a TaylorMade hat and wear Adidas shoes.
One other note from TaylorMade golf… the company has introduced their new Rac Black TP wedge. The big feature with with wedge is the Y-cutter grooves… these things can spin a ball! If you’ve been a regular on other golf forums, you’ve probably heard all about Y-cutter grooves and what they can do. These grooves have been on Tour for a while and now the public has a chance to give them a try. The Rac Black TP will be available in the middle of September and will be offered in 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 degree models.
I saw the new Cleveland stuff today… nothing too special… just slight variations of clubs they already have. The older Launcher 460’s are going way down in price… these could be the steal of the fall. If you like the Launcher 460 you might want to check with your local shop and see when they plan on dropping the price… if they haven’t already!
