I have had a few emails about the new Callaway HX-Tour 56 golf ball. A recent Callaway press release says that we should see this ball sometime over the summer. I will talk to my guy and see if I can get a more concrete date. The Hx-Tour 56 is a modified version of the current HX-Tour ball and it is currently being used by many Callaway staffers including Phil Mickelson. Thanks to all who wrote in with bits of info about this ball! Watch for a bigger ERC Fusion at the same time.
I also had a few emails about the new Scotty Cameron putters. A few readers noticed Greg Owen using one at the AT&T on the weekend. Watch for these Studio putters with the GSS inserts to be in stores towards the end of April – middle of May… depending where you live. While we’re on the whole AT&T topic… how many close ups of Phil’s putter did we get? Wow. Every second shot seemed to be of his Odyssey prototype! No word on if we will ever see this putter in stores but if Callaway is going to release everything else he plays then why not the putter?
Tour Edge Golf has released it’s new Houdini hybrid club. It is actually a really nice looking club and I have had a few people ask about it. Check it out at www.touredge.com .
