Callaway Golf has announced the signing of David Mobley, the newly crowned World Long Drive Champion. David used the Big Bertha 454 driver to win the title and it only makes sense that Callaway would scoop him up.No word on how they might use David in advertising but my guess is they will probably send him out on a bit of a promotional circuit.
Santa brought me a sleeve of prototype Bridgestone B330 balls for Christmas. I haven’t had a chance to use them yet but all reports seem to say that Bridgestone has a real winner here. It’s got to be good if Freddy is using it!
Speaking of golf balls…. someone asked me about a Cleveland ball the other day. I heard rumblings way back in the summer about Cleveland Golf releasing a golf ball. No one at Cleveland really wanted to talk about it but I am guessing that it will not happen anytime soon.
