Nike NDS Line Coming Soon

Nike golf will soon introduce a lower priced line of clubs in hopes the new price point will attract new golfers to their equipment. The Nike Distance Series (NDS) line will feature a set of irons, a driver and matching fairway woods. The design of these clubs will focus on game improvement and forgiveness.

Dunlop will continue to add to the popular LoCo line with the release of the LoCo Senorita ball for ladies. I don’t have much information on it yet but I know it will come in different colors and will be a low compression. The whole colored ball thing has really taken off again lately and I think manufacturers are going with the trend.

I saw some of the new TaylorMade stuff today. The R5 Dual looks pretty nice. It looks a lot like the 580XD at set up and feels decent. I also saw the new RAC O/S and RAC L/T irons. Both have gone through some cosmetic changes but the technology remains the same. In my opinion the new L/T is a bit bulky for a “players” club and I think that may hurt sales. I could see the lower handicaps leaning towards the TP iron instead of the L/T irons.

And in case you care….. Club Glove made the American Ryder Cup staff bags. I didn’t really like these bags and thought they looked really plain……. kind of like the American team.
