There was another PGA event besides the Ryder Cup this weekend and it was a big one for Cleveland Golf. Not only did the winner (Bart Bryant) use Cleveland but the company also won the iron and wedge count.

We got our first shipment of Odyssey White Steel 2 Ball putters in today and they feel really nice. They are priced the same as the original 2 Ball putter.

I mentioned the Precept name being changed in a previous post and now I have a bit more information on it. The Precept name will soon be replaced by the Bridgestone (Precept’s parent company) name. Precept will then become the mid-priced line for the company. Asian iron manufacturer Tourstage (owned by Bridgestone) will also change their name to Bridgestone. Tourstage makes really high quality clubs in Asia and their irons are in a few tour bags (Matt Kuchar and Stuart Appleby to name a few). Bridgestone should also release a new tour ball in the new year.

Phil Mickelson is playing a prototype Callaway Fusion ball. It is a lot like the HX Tour but spins more.

Also with Callaway, watch for a 454CC Great Big Bertha II driver, Fusion irons and X-18 irons soon. I know this is old news but they are getting pretty close to hitting the market.

I saw the new products by Bite Footwear today. Bite were the originators of the golf sandal but their shoes have been getting better every year. If you haven’t tried a pair of their shoes you should.
