Hey all, thanks for stopping by. Today we’ve got some news from Nike to share about their 2012 line-up. You’ve likely seen bits and pieces of the line-up on our site before, but here’s pictures of their entire club line-up and some details. Enjoy!
Nike 2012 Driver & Woods
Nike is moving away from the Sasquatch line… and continuing the VR line-up. The “S” stands for speed and these new clubs are going the way of the rest of the market and shedding some pounds. This driver also features NexCOR face technology which is said to incorporate a “bridge for an ultra-thin, ultra-hot face and unmatched ball speed”. The new driver will also feature adjustability use Nike’s STR8-FIT technology. Fairway woods are clean, classic-looking, non-adjustable but utterly gorgeous. Nike will also be releasing a limited-edition non-adjustable forged 430cc driver and a similarly style fairway wood.
Nike 2012 Hybrids
New to the VR-S line-up. Will also feature the same sole diffuser as the driver and fairway woods.
Nike 2012 Irons
Nike is launching two new versions of irons, the forged VR-S and regular VR-S. The forged VR-S are said to play very strong, which is irking some players. They feature a precision steel face with X3X grooves, and a slightly thinner sole that the regular VR-S irons. The regular VRS irons are also a club strong, and are similarly designed to the Machspeed irons. These irons are more geared towards the average player.
Nike 2012 Wedges
Nike is also adding some new VR Pro wedge finishes, and lofts to their line-up for 2012.
Nike 2012 Putters
This new high-MOI putter model is the new kid on the block to the MEthod Core line-up, which has now grown to 6 strong. The Concept putter stands alone at the moment, and features ultra-light-weight aluminum face and a heavier steel body to really amp up the MOI. It will be interesting to see if this putter gets any play on Tour.
