Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. This evening we came across a brand new driver design from Cleveland that Graeme McDowell tweeted about. Cleveland took it old school with this design and tried to refresh a look that’s been lost in golf clubs since the 80’s – the persimmon woods. Although all metal, and hitting the scales at only 290 grams, this “Classic” look driver is sure to catch the eye of some of the traditionalists out there. It’s hard to say at this point what Cleveland intends on doing with this driver… it may simply be a limited release to keep up with the White S3 or Tom Long from Cobra… but who knows. Have a look and let us know your thoughts after the jump…

Can you see yourself playing this driver? Should Cleveland try to market this as the club to buy in 2012? What are your thoughts?

  1. That is extraordinarily beautiful, reminding me of the persimmons and their beautiful shape. So organic and indeed a classic beauty. You bet I’d consider one, BUT can I hit it? That is the million dollar question. It looks like Cleveland might be betting some money on that.
