Crowne Plaza's Room Nights For The Brave

Crowne Plaza InvitationalGood morning everyone and thanks for stopping by! Many of your will watch the Crown Plaza Invitational at Colonial this weekend but some of you might not know about the charitable action going on behind the scenes. Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts have a great promotion with the PGA Tour right now that helps provide hotel rooms for injured military personal and their families. Here`s a brief outline of the program (taken from a program press release)…

“Beginning with the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial on May 19th through the AT&T National ending July 3rd, for every eagle made by a PGA TOUR player, Crowne Plaza will donate a room night to Birdies for the Brave creating a bank of hotel stays. Rooms will be used to support injured veterans and military personnel participating in Birdies for the Brave activities at TPC Clubs, PGA TOUR and Champions Tour events as well as other unique golf related experiences.”

They’re also donating $1 to Birdies for the Brave for every “like” on the Crown Plaza Facebook page as well as additional money and room nights for every birdie made on Saturday.

To celebrate such a fantastic charity for a worthwhile cause, Crown Plaza Hotels and Resorts has offered a couple of prizes for our readers. We’re giving away a Callaway X Forged sand wedge and a Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial umbrella with a $25 Golfsmith gift card. We’ll keep this really simple – “like” our Facebook page and leave a comment under our “Room Nights for the Brave” post. We’ll select a winner on Sunday night.

Good luck to all and kudos to Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts for supporting the troops!

Blogger disclosure: Crowne Plaza Hotel and Resorts has supplied SirShanksAlot.com with prizes in exchange for this post. SirShanksAlot.com has also agreed to mention the campaign on our Twitter and Facebook profiles. Let’s be honest though… it’s for a great cause and we probably would have posted about it anyways.
