SirShanksAlot Comments: Some great looking shoes here from TRUE Linkswear.  I especially like the black/black model, with a more traditional golf shoe look and feel.  Be sure not to miss our recent review of the TRUE Linkswear Shoes.

The genesis of the TRUE stealth started about a year ago when co-founder Sean Eidson and I sat down with Ryan Moore and his brother Jeremy. I asked Ryan if he would like to design a signature shoe and he said “Absolutely!” – so we started working with Ryan, Jason Moore and Jeremy on styling, texture, colors, etc. and passed the information along to our designer Marc Scepi. After several rounds of prototyping, sampling, product testing, and tweaking the TRUE stealth, it debuts on TOUR at The Bob Hope Classic in La Quinta, California. Yep, you will be able to see Ryan rockin’ them live this Wednesday through Sunday (Jan 19th to 23rd) on Golf Channel.

Our creative direction from Ryan with the stealth was to create an upper that had more traditional styling but a modern silhouette. We were inspired by some classic dress shoes made in England along with a few modern designs that can be found in stores like Nordstrom and Neimans.

The stealth sits on our revolutionary barefoot platform and has the same features as the TRUE tour in terms of waterproofing, footbed, sockliner and memory foam in the heel. The biggest difference in our two styles is the look and the leather. With the stealth we decided to go with a premium waterproof oiled leather that has a distressed finish and we removed the saddle and added a toe cap which helps with alignment. Aesthetically, the stealth appears more narrow in the toe box than the tour, for those golfers that would like to call a little less attention to themselves on the course.

The TRUE stealth will look very classy as you walk the links, but it will also be easy to wear off the course in the office, at the theater, or at your favorite restaurant. The solid black and brown will match nicely with virtually anything in the TRUE golfer’s wardrobe!

We hope you are as excited about the TRUE tour as we are – it will be available online around the start of April, 2011 for $199.

The TRUE stealth will launch in two colors – Black with Black sole and Brown with Mud sole – in size 6.5 through 15.
