TaylorMade R11 Driver Commercial Sneak Peek

TaylorMade R11 White Driver

To be released in February 2011 – also available in a TP version. R11 retail price: $399.00. R11 TP retail price: $499.00. The regular R11 is 440CC and the stock shaft is a Fujikura Blur. We also found this video that talks a little more details into the TaylorMade R11 driver: R11 Details

Rumor: TaylorMade will be releasing a smaller black version of the R11 (as shown in previously in this post – R11 Black).

Update Jan 5th, 2011: Details from a TaylorMade Press Release:

The R11 measures 45.75″ and is equipped standard with a Fujikura Blur 60-gram shaft, which features a medium-firm tip profile. The Fujikura Blur features a large weave material in the outer diameters of the layup to provide more stability at impact. As a result, this shaft specification delivers more distance and control without the harsh feel associated with some firmer-tip shafts.

Availability and Pricing
Two versions of the driver — R11 and R11 TP — are to be offered to suit a wide range of players. The R11 driver is available in two lofts right-handed – 9°, 10.5° – and two lofts left-handed – 9.5° and 10.5°. The standard R11 comes in four shaft flexes – X, S, R, M. In addition to the Fujikura Blur TP, the R11 TP comes with the option of 19 additional shaft choices

Availability begins on February 4, 2011 at a street price of $399 for the R11 and $499 for the R11 TP.

Taylormade ASP Tech

Update January 5th, 2011: here’s what TaylorMade has to say about their Adjustable Sole Plate Technology on their recent press release:

The Introduction of Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) Technology
When you change the clubhead’s loft using FCT, you’re also forced to change the face angle – increase loft and the face angle closes; decrease loft and the face angle opens. Adjustable Sole Plate solves that problem by allowing you to adjust the face angle independently of the loft, which is controlled by FCT.

The ASP sole plate provides ±2° of face angle change (neutral/square, 2° open, 2° closed). You can create three lofts with the same face angle, or you can further accentuate a face angle or counter a negative face angle. Plus, the combination of ASP and FCT effectively doubles the range of face angle for the club for ±2° to ±4°.

TaylorMade R11 Rescue Hybrids

To be released in March 2011 – also available in a TP version. TP version retails at $219.00. Regular Rescue retails at $189.00.

TaylorMade Burner Superfast White 2.0 Driver

This beauty is turning some heads. It’s set to be released in February – and in two models – regular and TP, with a fixed hosel. The regular retails at $299.00, and the TP at $399.00. The stock shaft on this driver is the Matrix Ozik.

Update Jan 5, 2011: From a TaylorMade Press Release

The Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP differs from the standard model in a four key ways: 1) a more compact address footprint, 2) a single weight port on the toe (the weight is non-movable), 3) a slightly open clubface angle, 4) a standard 65-gram Matrix Ozik HD 6 shaft and 43-gram Tour Velvet Light grip.

The TP’s aerodynamic clubhead shape promotes faster swing speed for increased distance, while the open face and weight in the toe enables the driver to be swing-weighted differently than the Burner SuperFast 2.0 to promote a neutral bias.

Availability and Pricing
Two versions of the driver — Burner SuperFast 2.0 and Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP — are to be offered to suit a wider range of players, including availability in a ladies version in its own color palette. The Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver is available in three lofts – 9.5°, 10.5°, HT (12.5°) – and four shaft flexes – L, M, R, S. The Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP is available in three lofts – 8.5°, 9.5°, 10.5° –and three shaft flexes – X, S, R.

Availability begins on February 4, 2011 at a street price of $299 for the Burner SuperFast 2.0 and $399 for the Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP.
