Good morning everyone. Titleist recently gave us a sneak peek into what might be on their driver horizon. Two new Titleist drivers (pictured below) made a brief appearance on the USGA’s Conforming Club list this week before being taken down.
An article on the Golf Digest Equipment Blog explains the situation. Here’s the short version – Titliest wants to test the drivers on tour prior to public release (just like everything else). They took the drivers off the list and will put them up closer to their release on Tour.
Not a lot is known about the Titleist 910 D2 and 910 D3 drivers but expect to see them on tour this summer. They should feature the company’s “SureFit” fitting system. Titleist typically releases the bulk of their new products in the spring so we might have to wait until 2011 to try these. We’ll keep you updated!
FYI… the USGA’s Conforming Club list gets updated every Monday. It’s worth a look if you’re into what clubs might be coming down the pipe. Just remember… not everything that shows up on the list makes it to retail.
Update: Here’s a look at their left handed models:
Like the look of these drivers!
The VG3 was created after a year of development and testing and was finally released in Japan back in March to big fanfare as the Titleist driver that finally average golfers or those who wanted forgiveness could play.
i love the clubs and drivers. 😉
