Hey everyone… thanks to stopping by. I was thinking of ranting on about the San Diego Chargers and how they magically find ways to lose games every week but this is a golf site so I'll refrain. Maybe I'll start a football website on the side. Anyways… we thought it might be fun to let our readers entertain you tonight. We get lots of fun email from our readers… people that are even more passionate about golf than we are. So tonight we're trying something a bit different… here are some odds and ends from our readers.

First up… we got an email from cartoonist Jerry King. You might recognize some of his work from various publications and greeting cards. Jerry looks to be a big golfer too. Check out his work at JerryKing.com.

We got a YouTube link from a reader that wanted us to have a look at his new golf swing. He's got some interesting things going on during the swing but it seems to work. It's kind of got a Moe Norman finish to it if you ask me…

You'll also see that Marc also paints driver heads too. Check out the Chargers one at the very end of the video. Very cool. I wonder if it can convert a third down to keep a game-winning drive going… instead of giving one of the best quarterbacks in the game over a minute to win the game himself? Ooops… no ranting.

Speaking of football… a big hello to all of our Canadian readers (and there are a lot of them). Today was Grey Cup day up north. For people that don't know… the Grey Cup is the Canadian equivalent to the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl… a game the Chargers will not be playing in this year. Ok… no more ranting.

Another video for you… this time from Ogio Golf. We've been big fans of these guys for a long time and I know they stop by from time to time to check out our site. This YouTube video gives us some insight into their 2009 golf bag line.

A big congrats to our Club Count golf bag winner. John from Washington State was randomly selected from our RSS subscriber list and won a new Club Count golf bag. We're planning some more reader contests in 2009 so stay tuned. We might even try a contest on our Facebook fan page too…

Keeping with the reader theme… we've been in contact with a company that is working on a new online handicapping system. They're looking for some golfers to help test it. Drop us a line if you're interested… [email protected]

So there you have it… some odds and ends from our readers. Thanks again for all of your support and emails. We don't make any money doing this so we depend on our readers to really keep us motivated. Thanks again… and we'll talk to you soon!
