We've been talking a lot about putters this week so let's keep it going with news of a prominent putter designer resigning from MacGregor Golf.
The company released this statement last week…
MacGregor Golf Announces Resignation Of Bobby Grace
Company Will Continue To Market Innovative Putters
ALBANY, Georgia, June 18, 2008 — MacGregor Golf announces today that Bobby Grace has resigned from the company effective immediately.
"We appreciate the work and dedication Bobby gave to the company since it acquired Bobby Grace Putters in 2003 and wish him well in his future endeavors" said Michael Setola, Chief Executive Officer and President, MacGregor Golf Company.
MacGregor Golf retains ownership of all trademarks and other rights associated with Bobby Grace Putters and the name Bobby Grace.
MacGregor will continue to further expand its putter line featuring the category leading DCT technology and feature it in an expanded marketing initiative starting in the Fall of 2008.
Many people we've talked to don't expect Grace will be out of work for long. Look for Nike Golf and/or Bridgestone Golf to make a play for the famed putter designer.
That's all for tonight… we'll be back tomorrow with a very unique golf club design from the I.P. Golf Guy.
