Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by.  We recently noticed that Wilson had tested a new version of the FG Tour line of drivers with the USGA called the M3.  Well this is just part of a big line their are planning to launch for 2014.  With Wilson’s sales skyrocketing over the past few years we’re expecting pretty big things from this company this year.  Here’s the picture the USGA released on the new driver.

Wilson FG Tour M3

We’ll be posting some pictures we found over at MyGolfSpy of the new line-up.  Feel free to find more information and pics on these new clubs over there.

The new Wilson FG Tour M3 Driver

The new FG Tour Driver features a 460 CC head, “iced” black PVD finish and solid overall look.  The sole weight can help adjust the feel of the club quick significantly with a 3g, 7g and 11g weight (that comes included with the driver purchases).  The shaft offers an incredible amount of flexibility – with a range of 3 degrees of loft in 0.5 degree increments (8.5 – 11.5), and up to 2.5 degrees open or closed in 0.5 degree increments. Stock shafts are the Aldila RIP Phenom.

The new Wilson FG Tour M3 Irons

Forged from 8620 carbon steel, these new irons are a slightly larger, more offset version of the original FG iron sets. The sole of these new irons is noticeably thicker, but should definitely help get the ball airborne for players that need it. Pretty standard lofts and lies for these irons (no Taylormading of the lofts to get you more distance).  Word on the street is these irons are going to be a hit this season.

The new Wilson FG Tour M3 Fairway Woods & Hybrids

Much like the driver, the fairway woods and hybrids are jam packed with tech.  While additional sole weights aren’t included, the same ones can be used in the fairway woods and hybrids. Both feature a high level of face and loft adjustability, with a slick sole.  If there are any complaints it would be of the the “ice” black PVD finish, which so far comes across as silvery (think Cobra AMP) and is rubbing people off the wrong way. Time will tell.  We’ll sharing pricing details on the new clubs when we have them.
