Ok so I said I was going to post twice today but I lied… I got going on other things and now I only have time for one post. I think I’ll wrap up the Orlando Show news today with a few more odds and ends. I’m actually surprised that the Show didn’t produce more news but I guess it isn’t as big an event as it used to be. Let’s get to it!
Under Armour Golf debuted some new golf-specific apparel at the Orlando Show and it looks great! They have some really nice traditional pieces and offer enough designs and colors to suit all tastes. We’ll have lots more from Under Armour Golf in the coming weeks but until then… check out the Under Armour website for more details. Want more? Let’s stay with clothing for a bit longer. Puma Golf has announced the signing of LPGA Star Erica Blasberg. She is the first female to sign with the company and will be the “female face” in Puma Golf ads. Blasberg is one rising star that kind of gets lost in the Wie/Creamer/Pressel mix but she has loads of potential. A good signing by Puma Golf!
The Titleist 695 irons are getting some pretty serious play on the PGA Tour. A total of 21 players used them at the Buick last weekend. We’ll have a chance to try the 695MB’s and 695CB’s come spring when the company will release both.
Staying with Titleist… a lot of golfers are getting pretty excited to try the new Titleist 905R driver. We’ve had a few emails asking when the price of the current “S” and “T” will go down. Many online retailers have already dropped the price of the 905T but the 905S will stay in the line to complement the 905R. I think the “R” is going to be a good one!
The guys over at Golfwrx have started a Fantasy Golf League that should be a lot of fun. Signing up for Golfwrx is free and the League is only $20 to enter. Head over to Golfwrx for more details. I think SirPuttsAlot will handle our picks but if they are as bad as his NFL picks over at Advantage Football… we should probably reserve last place right now! For the record… I’m taking the Steelers on Sunday.
