Titleist Golf has announced that they will not renew the equipment contract of European Ryder Cupper Paul Casey. Casey has been in the news lately after his negative comments towards new American captain Tom Lehman. Casey’s contract with Titleist ends on December 31, 2004 and I think he will probably end up with a non-American company like Mizuno or Adidas/TaylorMade.
I talked to my Titleist source the other day and he says the 695MB irons I mentioned a while back should come to market in the spring. Rumor has it that they will be called the 660’s instead.
