SirShanksAlot Comments: Our first good details on the new Cleveland CG Black driver. This new driver is geared towards players not already achieving 100 MPH swings (which, lets face it, is most of the golfing population). It features a “Speed Crown Design” which is designed to slip through the air more easily than its predecessor the Launcher UL series. The clubface and 460 cc head is built with some of the lightest and thinnest material Cleveland Golf has used to date. The extra weight that was skimmed from the face was re-positioned and enhanced with a weight screw on the back of the sole plate (an interesting addition). This weight distribution promotes a higher launch angle. The club also features a Golf Pride grip and Miyazaki C Kua Gold shaft. No word on the actual weight of this new club, but we’ll be sure to share that info as it comes in.
